In this dark world, I, Harper Willis, was looking for light. Everyday the sun rose and shone brightly. But I was looking for the light that's given by the stars. The only light that's able to keep me calm after another day in my life. Every night, I used to climb up to the roof of our house. But this one night. I still don't quite know what has happened. But I'm still in a coma waiting to wake up. My parents think I was suicidal, my friends blame themselves and I, I don't even know if I still want to live.

Have you ever walked outside at night? When it's so dark and you can't see a thing at first? I often do that and I'm never afraid. Because I know that after a while my eyes will adjust to the dark and I will be able to make things stand out. I'm always safe. I always know where I am. Where am I? I wake up with no memory of the night before or how I got to this place. I don't even know what place this is. I hear the howl of a wolf and stagger to the window. What the hell? This isn't the city, just where the hell am I? The darkness closes in and I welcome the dark oblivion. Perhaps this is just a nightmare? Then I laugh to myself, I'd prefer the nightmare to my life. My name is Nolan Moore and something special happened to me. Or at least that is what the psychiatrist calls it. I think it was disturbing, too horrific for words.
