In this dark world, I, Harper Willis, was looking for light. Everyday the sun rose and shone brightly. But I was looking for the light that's given by the stars. The only light that's able to keep me calm after another day in my life. Every night, I used to climb up to the roof of our house. But this one night. I still don't quite know what has happened. But I'm still in a coma waiting to wake up. My parents think I was suicidal, my friends blame themselves and I, I don't even know if I still want to live.

Have you ever walked outside at night? When it's so dark and you can't see a thing at first? I often do that and I'm never afraid. Because I know that after a while my eyes will adjust to the dark and I will be able to make things stand out. I'm always safe. I always know where I am. The trees seemed to bend towards me. The farther I went, the darker the world seemed to get. The color also seemed to dim as I ran. But I didn't pay much attention to that. I finally came to a large clearing, near the center was an hourglass, it was made out of diamond. I walked up to it. It was so thick I could barley see inside, although I did see something inside. Where am I? I wake up with no memory of the night before or how I got to this place. I don't even know what place this is. I hear the howl of a wolf and stagger to the window. What the hell? This isn't the city, just where the hell am I? The darkness closes in and I welcome the dark oblivion. Perhaps this is just a nightmare? Then I laugh to myself, I'd prefer the nightmare to my life.
