One thing she usually mentioned that she envied was his ability to recall details well; in her words, he 'majored on the minor but it only benefitted him'. He had never disputed her but he was not sure if having perfect recollection of the voice of a girl who threatened to drown him two years ago when he had inconvenienced her - he was not sure if that would benefit him. "Whether I finish them or not, if you want some you would have to sit with me, like a respectable guest, and we can share." Maybe it was the decision of a fool - but maybe not. He saw no other option but that of anyone in a situation they were inequipped to navigate; follow his instincts. A terrible idea, really.
