A man of justice and selfish promises, was one to make me move. So stern yet loving. I fell into those gorgeous blue eyes that held their own thoughts. So hollow yet bright and lively, who wouldn't fall for a man like him? A genius with logic, in which I lacked. His sweet words flooded my senses leaving me defenseless. He built palaces out of paragraphs and Cathedrals of literature. So helpless and blind, I've failed to see that I've married an Icarus, whose flown too close to the sun. So desperate to find the truth beneath the walls, he forgot about what, or should I say who? Really matters. To this day forth I am no longer helpless, no longer a Smith, and no longer a fool. He will never be satisfied, I will never be satisfied.

Darkness. That's all I could see. Everywhere I looked, the inky blackness engulfed my vision. I squinted, searching for any speck of light, but found nothing. "Hello?!" My shouts echoed unanswered into the void. Panic rose as the darkness pressed down. I was alone here, floating in nothingness. I racked my aching mind, trying to recall how I came to be trapped in this endless night. Then, I heard it. A voice, calling my name. It repeated like a broken record, pleading for me to wake up. Could I be...dead? Slowly, I opened my eyes, wincing as sunlight flooded in through a nearby window. Blinking, I took in my surroundings - a hospital room.
