Until further notice, this story is on hiatus. It's taking a lot of research and planning... two of the things I struggle with. I've got several other stories started and I'll be posting them soon.

Okay, sorry for terrible cover image. Computer isn't exactly cooperating.

This story is something that popped into my head and was actually inspired by a book that I have owned for many years. It is titled "The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures" by John and Caitlin Matthews. It is so old some of the pages are falling out and it contains information on any mythical creature you can imagine - many of which I had never even heard of until reading this book (I've had it for over 10 years). 

The idea is that reader has an ancient tome which contains information pertaining to all sorts of mythological and magical creatures but an unknown evil source is after it. Reader doesn't have any superpowers and does not have any sorcerer abilities (yet?) and just relies on her knowledge and experiences when dealing with these creatures. Our story begins with an encounter with a vampire and Doctor Strange comes to the rescue. 

Sorry if description is terrible. It's late.... Also, not sure what direction this will be going in. For now, I will leave the mature rating off. I may switch it later but I will always put a warning if there's anything inappropriate before the chapter regardless of setting.
