After Kathy Stone became president she enforced many crazy laws and totally changed our country. Now everyone lives in segreated communities named after the four basic elements: fire, water, air and water. The only rule is that you are not allowed to have communication with anyone from outside your element. But what if you accidentally fall in love with someone from another element? For 16 year old Carter Hailing that exactly what happens. Follow her journey as she falls in love, breaks the law and runs for her life. What element is stronger, fire water, air, earth, or love?

Although on this planet, they didn't call them by that. The kingdom of the fire elementals was the Flamma kingdom. The kingdom of the water elementals was the Mare kingdom. The kingdom of the air elementals was the Aura kingdom. And finally, the kingdom of the earth elementals was the Terra kingdom. The kingdoms were separated intentionally for the purpose that other elementals couldn't have any interaction with each other. The fact that she turned into dragon and would be killed if anyone found out made it all the worse. So, Skylar lived in constant conflict with the beast within her, all while training to be queen one day. When a fellow king discovers her secret, she is forced to flee or put her entire family in danger. When she meets Orion, the Alpha of a dragon clan, he helps open up a whole new world to her. In this new world, Skylar discovers who she is supposed to be and what she's been hiding from. She finds the beauty of her beast and a love she only ever dreamed of. But then her new world is threatened. It becomes a matter of kill or be killed, so Skylar's new family, with the help of her old, must rise to the challenge to defeat this threat.
