Although being a Seer granted Lyra Belaire a lot of advantages in life, the reality was that that there would always be things she couldn't see coming. Things that she remained as blindsided to as the rest of the wizarding world. 

But merlins beard, she did not expect one of those things to be Harry Potter. Or the growing feelings for him she isn't sure how to define. And she certainly never expected to be caught in the middle of a war like a twisted wizard's chess tournament of life and death. Where remaining loyal to her family means turning her back on her friends, and following her heart means abandoning the only life and home she knows. 

How does one choose between duty and love? Lyra isn't so sure even her prophetic powers can answer that. 

And so goes the story of a slytherin girl, a gryffindor boy, and the war threatening to tear them apart.

She had lost almost everyone, and she refused to be the reason she lost anyone else. Moving to Forks, Washington was a huge change. She didn't know what to expect when she moved there, but she really didn't expect to find shapeshifters and vampires close to where she lived. She was different as well, but she believed she was alone. She didn't expect to find someone to love, nor did she expect for things to fall apart around her more than they already had.
