As their relationship develops, Ino finds herself jeopardizing her most cherished bond, grappling with a mix of regret and jealousy. Side note: While the early chapters stay true to the original Naruto universe, but after chapter 19, it will no longer be as canon to the Naruto universe because I don't need the buildup from stuff like the chunin exams. Although I am not able to find the original post itself, so if any of you know, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due. I decided to write this story because I could never find a Shikamaru x Ino fanfic that truly resonated with me. While I do ship Temari and Shikamaru, as well as Sai and Ino more, I found it frustrating that there weren't any compelling fanfics featuring this pairing.
