The Legend of the Admiral (HTTYD Fan-Fic)
Hiccup was declared Killed-in-Action during a naval battle between the Berk fleet and a fleet of slaver warships. He was called 'Useless' by everyone. People would beat him up daily while those that did not would just watch and not interfere. He could have let Astrid die that night. Everyone saw him push her overboard and were about to attack him but stopped when the wall around Hiccup was hit by a spray of bullet and blood was seen falling on the ground in front of him as he took support of a railing before it gave away and he fell into the abyss of the ocean. Astrid tried to save him but he stopped her from doing so. He was rescued by a ship and survived. 5 years later, Berk is under the greatest threat it has ever seen and Hiccup has decide to whether his personal feeling will determine will determine the faith of his former home or not. All characters belong to DreamWorks and Cressida Cowell. There will be certain similarities to other stories and some inspiration taken from 'To Mend A Valkyrie's Heart' and 'Captain Fury: Pirate of Berk'.Complete

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Long ago, there was a village of vikings on a small island known as Berk, which suffered weekly, sometimes even nightly raids from fire breathing dragons. However the chief's wife, Valka, believed peace was possible between the Vikings and Dragons but no one believed her. During a terrible raid, she was taken by a dragon that showed signs of kindness. However she wasn't the only one taken since she grabbed her infant, Hiccup Haddock the Third, to keep him away from a fire started by the dragon who was startled by her husband. Unfortunately she couldn't grab her other son, a toddler, in time and he was left behind with his father. Over the years, the boy grew up hating dragons and counted down the days until he could join the warriors in battle, defending his village and avenging his brother and mother. However his father always kept him inside the forge during raids in fear of losing the only family he had left. There, the boy became a bit of an inventor as well as a decent blacksmith.
