John Laurens: A boy who has lived in South Carolina until he was ten. Homeschool until his senior year of high school. He was finally being enrolled at King's College after attending NYU for a year. He was never very social and only had a few friends. Not to mention he was gay. Alexander Hamilton: Orphan and Carribean immigrant. His father left at 10, his mom died at 12, and his cousin committed suicide at 17. He was on his own. Never went to school until he started his Sophomore year at King's College. For these two boys. It was an interesting one, which started off rocky at first, but ended up turning into something great. Well, it did for the rest of high school, anyway. But everyone also knows that relationships just don't last like they used to, especially high school ones. So what happens when they go to separate schools in New Jersey? John Laurens seems to find himself fascinated in his new art school, invested with his new friends. Alexander Hamilton is doing his damnedest to keep the relationship alive. ~~ SEQUEL TO HOMEWORK - Technically, you don't have to read the first to understand, but it will help and be nice! What Is A Legacy?
After Thomas' family died, before he left for France during the Revolutionary War, he never allowed himself to grow close with anyone. But living in Virginia led to the inevitable: crossing paths with his rival, Alexander, and meeting Eliza and Philip Hamilton. But when Alexander constantly works, and is away from his family, Philip ultimately turns to Thomas for advice, and the two of them soon become as thick as thieves. When France enters their own revolution, it lands Thomas in danger, and teaches him how to deal with his loss. I swear, the story is better than the summary.
