Ava is a normal sixteen year old girl, living in Richmond, Virginia with her divorced father. When a horrible accident strikes the family of two leaving Ava's father dead and Ava with no memory of what happened, Ava moves to San Francisco, California. She moves in with her crazy and artistic mother, who is renting out the top of her ocean-side condo to a young man who has a way of always finding trouble. Ava's mother's only rule is "stay away from the boy upstairs." What will happen if Ava breaks that rule?
