When Dan and Phil meet at the back of a class right in the very corner dans appearance reminds him of his true self , Phil reminds Dan about the old him the one before he lost hope . Dan hates Phil he's to happy and it sickens Dan . Phil is intrigued by Dan he's to mysterious and Phil loves it . They both have secrets and they both have issues . Dan is quiet and never in a very good mood. Due to the bully at school and his general home life, he's depressed and he doesn't like to eat much as it only makes him more depressed. Dan truly just wants to be loved. Phil is usually always happy, his home life may be scattered but he for the most part doesn't let it bother him, and he seems to just go with the flow, that is until Dan catches his attention and Phil makes a decision to stick up for Dan.
