Angelo Belcourt is a pyromancer, and has lived in a gated community his entire life under the almost too watchful eye of his parents. After a fatal accident took the life of his younger sister, they won't let him out of their sight. However, job opportunities bring them to the small town of Hanover where Angelo, now a senior in high school, is experiencing freedom for the first time in his life. Freedom, however, comes with a cost. With no restraints in place, Angelo's demons come back to haunt him.

Dalia Vervain's demons are far more literal. She paid the ultimate price for her fathers carelessness, living the majority of her life with her soul in the possession of the greater demon Venari. He's a threat that only she can see, and his oppressive shadow had since taken over her life. However, everything changes when she finally finds the strength to face him down.

Carmen Dolor is vampire living a double life, desperately trying to hide his demonic heritage from the world. Most demonborn such as vampires and werewolves have been assimilated into society, but full blooded demons definitely have not. Even halfbreeds like Carmen aren't trusted, and some are even hunted for sport or out of some sense of vengeance. Carmen's father Luctus has tried his best to shelter his son from the dangers of the outside world, but even he can't protect him forever.
