Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D., is interested in the infamous Amber Black in his hunt to assemble a team with abilities like no others to help protect the world. Being a hitwoman is not something someone would expect under a profile of an Avenger, but when a world-threatening event is on the horizon, everything goes. And when a certain Asgardian god of mischief shows up and she's assigned to interrogate him, chaos ensues and...well, there's a reason they say there ain't no rest for the wicked.

"How dare you speak to me that way?!" He roared.
Amber stopped stirring the pasta she was in the midst of making, took the spoon out, and placed it ever-so-gently on the stovetop. She slowly turned around to face the furious Asgardian, slightly ticked off herself.
"We're back to this? Really? Can't get past your ego for one goddamn second, huh?"
"I don't think my ego is the problem here, Black."

After returning from Asgard, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Dean Allen stays busy to keep his mind off of wondering when Thor will return. But when a very familiar enemy arrives on earth and steals an object of vast comic power, the safety of the earth is challenged. Loki's aspiration to enslave earth with an army from the far reaches of space spurs S.H.I.E.L.D. to enact the Avengers Initiative. But will this team come together...or be torn apart? Note: this is a reimagining of the first Avengers film. While there will definitely be a lot of similarities between this work and the film, there will also be departures. I've done my best to maintain the general spirit of the film while also putting a spin on things to keep it interesting. Also, Thor and the main character are in a homosexual relationship. I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. I am not a villain, neither a hero even though I fight with hero's. I mostly of the time help the good side, if there's something in it for me. I don't see myself helping the bad side, even though that might happen. A part of the Avengers doesn't like me that much, so I get a lot of pissed off faces, sighs or 'shut up's'.
