Ten years ago, the Kingdom of Hearts sent the first mysterious bright light out of it. It was seen across all the worlds before it came to rest inside five year old girl, Melanie. Ten years later, Melanie goes on a camping trip with her friends from school when they are interrupted by Heartless from Kingdom of Hearts to reclaim the power. King Mickey appears to save Melanie and the two are separated not before Melanie had the chance to activate the light in the form of a powerful magical light shield. Melanie wakes up on the beach of Destiny Islands where she meets the young heroes just as they are about to head out on a journey themselves.

(Book 5) Haya and Jiminy were reading the journal and Hikari's diary. And on them, there's a writing on the pages saying "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it." The two decided to seek help from King Mickey, Donald and Goofy in order to know what that writing meant so they used a computer to digitize Jiminy's journal and Hikari's diary but soon both of them were full of bugs. King Mickey decided to create a Data-Sora and a Data-Hikari in order to get rid of the bugs and find out the mysterious message. Soon... all of them except for Queen Minnie, Chip and Dale got trapped in the Datascape and Data-Sora and Data-Hikari meets a figure in a black coat which turns out to be Data-Riku and goes face to face with Maleficent and Pete. Unlike them, she'd rather spend her time tending to the flowers in Radiant Garden rather than sneaking into the castle owned and operated by Ansem the Wise. Their days were just made of fun and goofing off. That is until about a year after they become friends with a boy named Ventus. After Ventus mysteriously comes and goes, a year passes and Hana finds herself alone in Traverse Town where she encounters Sora searching for his friends. Surrounded by her new friends, Squall and Yuffie, they return to Hollow Bastion to witness it's return to Radiant Garden. It is then that she realizes that she's truly missing something more than just the memories of the missing years of her life. So she sends herself on a journey to find what she's missing. She arrives in Twilight Town and encounters the spiky red haired man named Axel. Follow Hana in her own journey to find her friends and return Lea's heart to his body.
