Aqualad had for many years had no problems with who he was. Up until the moment he had lost any interest in loving those of the opposite gender, instead, finding himself being drawn to those of the same sex. The hero struggles with his sexuality, refusing to accept himself, and as time goes by, his secret becomes harder to keep. (Aqualad being gay is based on the comic books.)
Superboy had finally felt accepted. Like he belonged. Until one mistake reminded him he was only a project. The hero grows angrier with each passing day, angry at the way he was who he was.
Miss Martian need not worry about her being a White Martian. Everyone still loved her. But, her attempts at trying to be the perfect person and trying to make her younger "brother's" (Beast Boy's), life a lot easier takes a toll on everyone. And she grows to think that maybe, she should go away. White Martians where never wanted.
Kid Flash is as happy, humorous, and laid back as can be. And once he had returned from the dead, everyone was happy. It seemed. But his return from the speed force comes with a price, and he slowly becomes weaker, slower. Its as if he could drop at any minute.
Artemis knew she was never like her sister, or father even. She was a hero, and she always believed that. Until recently, she finds herself drawn towards the life of crime, and wonders if she truly does belong to this heroic group.
Nightwing was always one to never give up. Yet, when the team voted him off as their leader, that was what he did. He gave up on regaining the trust of his team, gave up on being good enough. Over time the hero finds himself becoming more violent, and more abusive, adding pain to the villains he encounters. He loses sight of who he really is, and decides to keep to himself, thinking loneliness is the best option.
