A mysterious tower suddenly appeared in the middle of the Atlantic one day 10 years ago, but at the time no one suspected what it would've done to the world. Scientists tried to explain the appearance of this strange tower, but they came up with nothing. The world slowly changes, continental crusts shifted, new valleys tore through the land and new mountains pierced the sky. Small cities were destroyed by the forces of nature and undiscovered creatures seemed to materialized out of no where. Billions died during this change, we call this 5 years period of massive change: The Terraform. After The Terraform period, another thing happened. A voice spoke out to every living person in unison, "Welcome to the new world mortals. Ah but don't be afraid, I've given you some toys to help you.  Now show me what you can do." These toys would come to change everything even more than the Terraform.

It sounded crazy but I knew it was real and getting there, finding her and fixing the bridge that I'd unwittingly burned was going to be hard but I was ready to be more than a desk jockey typing my life away. I wanted to see the orange skies instead of the blue and find her sitting in a field of crystals again, staring at the stars.

Imagine, just for a second, let's imagine you end up somehow travelling into your favourite book. Then you started working your magic and you cosy up to the male lead who was supposed to get you killed or you make the demon lord fall in love with you so he can protect you from your imminent death. And woah you got your happy ending. But now let's imagine a completely different scenario where you end up in a book you read like 10 pages of (including the ending). And you find yourself literally dropped into the lap of a psychopathic rival who enjoys just a teeny bit of bloodshed. He's also the guy who killed your favourite character and not to mention you. But then you hold on for a second because you realise you're not dead and he wants to use you as an immortal tool to sharpen his aim. Well that's the story I ended up living in. And I've got one request from Mr. Villain over there, please spare me!

Killjoy had taken this god-forsaken mission for a little bit extra money before he would quit. He was tired. The middle-aged bounty hunter had etched his name across American mythos after decades of killing, gunslinging, and doing dirty work for one too many fat, greedy pigs. It was easy work, but the man can't get any older after years of doing it. And with a wife at home who he visited only so many times he could them on his one hand, and a daughter whose face he can barely remember year to year, it was time to hang up the boots. But when he is told about one job that could potentially set not only himself and his family for life, but for generations to come, Killjoy decides to screw it and do one last mission. The money he made was good, but not enough to last them. The reward? The deed to a gold mine. And the job? To investigate some desolate woods for missing people. It was as easy as they came. What a load of crap. The second Killjoy stepped foot into those forests, he knew something was not right. Desecrated bodies, the eerily empty mines and woods devoid of any light or humans, and the gnawing hunger that grew in him no matter how much he ate through his rations. Something was not right. And when Killjoy laid his eyes on it, he knew it was either fight or die.
