A group of trespassers at an abandoned asylum get sent back in time to live through a portion of the lives of a few "people" from the last of the asylum's operational years, learning the secret of what really caused it to close. (This is a horrible description, I know. But it was the best I could do without giving the whole story away.)

The remaining humans on the Earth believe it has something to do with the sun but are wrong. There is only a certain amount of time left before all the oxygen in the Earth is gone.
