Mirrors are dimensional rifts - portals, if you will, to an alternate reality. Whenever you come up to a mirror, your doppelgänger from that other world does at the same time, and the two of you make the exact same motions. The only thing stopping you from crossing over is your identical twin, putting their hand directly in front of yours.

But what if you had a twin that didn't copy your movements?

And what if their hand wasn't in between you and their world?
