GEM SOLO loves her brother.
She would never betray him-not even if he was a murdering asshole. He was only lost, and she couldn't leave him in a time where he needed her the m o s t.
She also loved a boy, when she still lived in the New Republic, who spoke of the sky's like they were the heavens-who won her l o v e.

the grass was singed and crisped, wafting smoke into her wet nostrils which caused her to crinkle her nose. death mingled in the rain as did darkness.
she felt her brother's presence and whipped around. he stood along with others wearing dark masks and cloaks. she felt so out of place.
"is this your doing?"
the voice of her brother did not respond. he held his hand out. "join me, Vyn Lieo. fight those who betrayed me-fight the jedi."
she knew in some way, being sent here to train as jedi triggered a nerve with ben. it sent a message to both the twins: that they're parents-or, more specifically, their father-had threw them out and she could see that her brother had scars in his soul and tampering in his mind even then.
she knew that if she said no-he would have to kill her.
she reached-held onto his gloved hand, a squeezed. "i'm your sister," she whispered so silent and secret, "i'd never betray you."

Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way. His darkness was what fueled him and what kept him going. He couldn't possibly give that up. The girl was a conundrum. "Liar," Rey whispered. She crossed the distance between them. Now, they were only a few inches apart, separated by the bars of the cell. "You're right," he smiled. Yet again, it didn't reach his eyes. Rey was right. He could barely stand to be someone he wasn't. But his past called for him. "I am a liar. A manipulative beast." He reached out and tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "You would do well to stay away." She stepped back. She had felt a jolt of something when he touched her. Like she was being set on fire, but she loved it. "St- Stay away from me," she stuttered. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. Then Rey felt herself fall into a deep, un-peaceful, and dark sleep. Kylo Ren slowly glided away from her unconscious form. A tear, although invisible from the rest of the universe underneath his mask, fell down his cheek. Kylo Ren left the scene of the massacre, where he had just murdered dozens of former fellow Jedi padawans, at the academy his uncle had established. He didn't look back, for he knew that if he did, he would totally break...he would be torn apart. Please note that this story STARTS in the time while Kylo Ren/Ben is at the Jedi Academy and that this story was written directly after The Force Awakens!
