Noel (NO-EL) knew she shouldn't have gotten hooked on that Gallagher boy, maybe if she had just steered herself away from him, everything would've been easier. Everything would've worked out for the best, she would've met someone sweet but she knew that wasn't what she wanted from the said boy. That's why it hurt even more when she had been thrown away by him, this time though..this time she would not fall back into him. If he wants her, he's going have to work for her.
