The buzzer went off , signaling the arrival of someone . He entered and looked unhappy .

"There's trouble," he spoke in German .

"What happened ?"

At that same moment , Aiden decided to ask, "Where's my mother ?"

Silence .

He came to kiss my forehead , like he did every night .

When he got to the far end of the room , he turned , as if it were the last time he'd see us .

He smiled , a very sad smile .

Then he left .

We were told to dress up in a haste .

Then , we finally set out . Mind link was open and all I could hear was a one-syllabled three-lettered word ; war .
