Shades of Grey

My name is Emerson Meretz, and I'm colorblind. Unlike normal people or even most colorblind people, I can only see in shades of grey. It's been that way since I was born.

I've never seen the juniper green trees or the cerulean blue sea that lives just outside my door. That is until I met her... Her hair, it..it was unlike anything I had ever imagined. It glowed amber red flowing down to the small of her back. I had to, I had to know her.
