In a world made up of mostly normal humans, magical beings remain hidden from view. Everyday, hundreds of people discover that they're more than they once thought they were. Many are excited for a chance to be different from everyone else, a chance to stand out. However for one girl, being different isn't exciting. It's horrible. It gets people killed. She only wants to be normal. But Fate won't allow Iris to squander her abilities. Sinister beings are stirring, and Iris is the only one who can stop them.
