Black. All he saw was black. It was so powerful that even moving a finger was impossible, it had complete control over him, almost as if an invisible force was pinning him down. He needed something to grip onto, as if to not slip away. As if on queue, the floor in front of him cracked and made a spark of light emerge in his line of vision. He took hold of that light and used it to pull him back to reality.

NOT A BOOK
This is an experiment! I have writersblock and someone recommended that I should try and post something and see if that gives me ideas/motivation etc. This is the first chapter of a book I've wanted to write for a long time but I can't seem to get past chapter 3.
Feel free to read, and if this gets some amount of recognition I might publish chapter 2. Who knows, if this god-awful writers block leaves now I might publish an entire book. (No promises)

Everyone thinks he should have recovered after that much time, but Allan still haunts Elliot every night. He struggles to maintain relationships with his family, and despite a coworkers interest he can't summon up the courage to date. Elliot is living for the past, because to live for the present means he'll have to live with a hole in his heart.
