It's the year 3016. Many supernatural creatures run amok, but there is but one civil service job that a human can take to take on the weirder cases in the island of Jorra just off of the east coast of England - hunting.

Part-time vampire hunter with a love for interior designing, eighteen year old Desdemona Clarke usually takes on cases like this, with the help of her easily distracted older brother Henry. She has an average track record in completing cases; however one case she helps her brother on to her own discretion leads her path to intersect with that of the famed P.I. Gunner Oikonomou.
Desdemona is enraptured by Gunner's secrets even as they attempt to solve the case together...
