The world of Pokémon takes a new spin on this classic fairytale.

After her father leaves on a trip, Pokémon trainer Duchess Ella is reduced to a servant by her envious stepmother-Cinderella. And yet she refuses to give in to despair. With the help of her Pokémon friends, a headstrong prince, and a legendary Pokémon, Cinderella strives to make her dreams come true, proving that with courage, kindness, and friendship, anything is possible.

Note: This work can also be found on FanFiction.net.

I do not own Pokémon or any images. This is a Fan Fiction novel I have written for fun. Only Pokémon as far as Generation VI is shown in this novel.
This novel is rated for age 7+ as it contains mild descriptions of fantasy violence and comic mischief.

Update 11/25/19 -- A special thanks to ImberLapis for making a new cover for my novel. Thank you again, ImberLapis!

Update 12/2/19 -- I've updated several chapters for grammar, typos, and clarity, especially in chapter 18. (I apologize for the missing beginning in that one chapter. I didn't realize my mistake until I got the new cover...) Please enjoy. ;)

A Trail we Blaze - A Trainer X Cinderace story by HylianGuard
24 parts Ongoing
"They're gone." Max bent down and tenderly picked up the shaking Pokémon. Her eyes were the prettiest shade of red, like she had jewels for irises. "You're safe now." "Scor?" Scorbunny looked up and craned her neck. There were still tears in her eyes. "Scorbun?" "I promise," Max whispered and stroked her fur. "I won't hurt you. I'll protect you." (-◉-) Max Hickory, son of the Pokémon professor Evelyn Hickory, has been content living as a normal school boy; no traveling, no tournaments, no drama. Despite this, when his partner Cinderace and best friend confesses her love after two years, he drops everything, embarking on a journey to discover what kind of relationship they could forge in a world where Pokémon and humans, despite their bonds, never joined in love. But never in his wildest dreams could Max have imagined the forces he would discover, the powers he would unlock, or the lives that would rest in his hands. He encounters friends and enemies, both new and old, as he faces against gym leaders, unveils the language of Pokémon, ignites the wrath of an ancient clan, reveals the true potential of Mega Evolution, and stands against an enemy that threatens the balance of life and death itself. All the while, Max must stay true to the values that have guided him thus far: so long as he holds the power to protect others, it is his responsibility to use it. No matter the cost. Quick note: Just so you know, this is not a "reader x Pokémon" kind of book, and it's clean too. I just couldn't find that many good and clean Pokémon books (unless it's about Ash) but they're out there. Thanks for reading! Ranked #1 for Cinderace in November 2022 I don't own the background picture used for the cover. I don't own Pokémon. I only own my original characters and this story.
