Nico was an idiot.

He shouldn't have fallen for him. Fallen for Leo. So why? Why did he fall for the stupid idiot?

Oh, the Fates must be so pleased right now. So happy. They must be laughing right now at his cruel fate as he choked onto those petals, his chest feeling as if it was lit on fire. Pain was the only thing he could currently comprehend.

And as he felt pain surge through his lungs, he could feel the roses in his throat, along with the metallic taste of blood. He coughed as he tried to get rid of the painful feeling, but it didn't do anything but add more pain.

Finally, he coughed some petals up. They were roses.

Stained roses, coated with blood.

He shut his eyes.
