But, when she asks her new parents about it, they don't respond. One day, Leslie gets a letter in the mail from her birth mom. Leslie keeps it a secret and decides to wait until she's ready to tell her parents. Will she do it or never speak of it? Description: Lila lives in a cramped, dark apartment with her single mother, who often seems too overwhelmed to notice her daughter's emotional needs. Lila spends her days feeling invisible at school and lonely at home, where she finds solace in drawing her dreams and the worlds she wishes to escape to. One day, Taylor was holding auditions to be in her next music video and Lila begs her mother to take her as Lila loved to dance and sing. Taylor is drawn to Lila and invites her to be part of the video with some other children the same age.She quickly notices Lila's quiet and withdrawn demeanour and is determined to dig into the reasons why. Concerned about Lila, Taylor introduces herself and offers to spend time with her, creating a safe space for Lila to express herself and is shocked by what she discovers about Lila's life.
