As far as Angelica knows, she has always had unusual since she was a 2 years old kid causing her parents to abandon her and give her away to her grandma. Instead of having a normal life, she had been cursed when she was young making it more difficult to have friends in fear of loosing them.
She tried to get it off of her curse but can't find it specifically in a book. She even had check the whole town. But still
"please..... Just leave me alone and don't care about me. You will not like what happens when we become best friends"
But still, some stayed by her side. And just like the others, die. Yes. That is the curse. No one can care or love Angelica. If someone does then, they will get killed by her own magic.
She got through elementary and is getting through high school which is a tough one. Especially with the curse getting stronger as she kills more people.
No friends, boy friends, family, secret admirer and Best friend for her. She became cold hearted, rude and cruel till this transferee entered her class. He noticed Angelica's unusual actions and wanted to change her.
Little did this boy know that he has only little time before he becomes like the others. Dead.
