treeclan has lived in peace for many moons. until the clan gets into a war about who should be the leader-- russetstar, or pearlwish? russetstar, a tom of peace, declares that the clan will split in two and will not fight, for no brother or sister should have to face each other in the dark days and blood-ruled skies of battle.
russetstar moves the warriors he's chosen to go with him to the new camp, which includes lionmask's mate, poppybloom. pearlwish shows no grief or sorrow to see her sister going, and shows no sympathy for lionmask upon his dark days.
but russetstar and pearlwish can admit one thing-- pearlwish's foolishness has caused many friendships and brotherhoods to perish by scented borders.
so, letters were created, and now lionmask can talk to his dear mate, aswell as many others. but letters might have been a mistake, for something very cruel is churning over lionmask's life.

Everyone swoons over her, sympathising with her, caring for her, when all she wants is for cats not to do that, to listen. However, when StarClan tell her of this evil, she may get the chance to prove herself to everyone. Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her. But when the evil shakes up her life and splits her soul, she may find enough courage to make everything right again. ~~~~~ I hope you enjoy this book.
