{BOOK I}
Amethyst hasn't heard her twin brother, Ace, talk since they were six. She didn't pay much mind to the issue seeing as psychiatrists would put it off as PTSD after seeing the murder of their parents.
Days before their 20th birthday, Ace is arrested with 2 charges of aggravated assault. Amethyst goes to the station to talk to her brother. She discovers a bloody scene and her brother in the cell with the keys in his hands.
He speaks to her for the first time in almost 14 years. However, the sentence he says will change their life.

I felt the tears rise and I looked down for a minute, gathering all of my resolve. I looked up again and stared him right in the eye. "You know what? I trusted you!" I jabbed my finger in his chest and he recoiled. "I trusted you and you broke my trust. I trusted you to keep the secret. I trusted you enough to tell you everything. I trusted you to keep my trust. I frowned, thrown off "Do i...remember?" "Do you remember..." she starts but her voice falters. She glances down at the sand, biting her lip debating whether to even continue.
