How do you tell your best friend you love them? How do you know they feel the same? How do you stop your heart getting broken in the process? Honestly, in a place, you feel comfortable with the other and just take the risk. You don't unless they are an open book of emotions. Hearts are made to be broken; if it's not by them someone else will break it somehow. This is a situation for two pairs of best friends separated by the decades... In 1950 Corinne goes on a month long trip with her family to the Madison businesses, taking an aching heart with her. Add a slightly secretive father, fainting mother, three brothers with two of them looking to take over the business and a serving girl Elsie, you get a relatively normal posh family. Corinne's childhood friend Callum carries an aching heart while she is away and misses her presence. Him, Corinne and a few others have been clueless about how they have always felt for each other, the others knowing all along. So when the others give him an opportunity, Callum tells Corinne how he feels after a card game threat and a surprise night visit from Corinne. In 2015 being in a military family is hard, which is what Dae and Dustin know first hand. The pair of them have a ridiculous amount of connections, few being known like how Dae's mother served with Dustin's father throughout deployments. Dae had always pushed Dustin away when he wanted to get closer. On the run up to Valentine's day Dustin has a grand plan in which he hopes Dae manages to see how he feels. Presents appear in her locker, her dad gets back from deployment with a companion she was certain was not breathing and then a gift bag which Smoke doesn't react to which makes her suspicious. With your mum being trained as a bomb dog handler that's natural right? Even her dad is in on the plan. Will Dustin leave with the heart he's always wanted or will he get turned away again? Find the answers to these questions in this story!

Fight to Forget (Sunstreaker x OC)

12 parts Ongoing

Two years after surviving the fight of her life, Medal of Honor recipient Melissa Smith comes home a decorated war hero, with commendations and medals attesting to her bravery and skill. To the higher ups, honorable discharge and full military benefits must seem like fitting repayment for the hero who repeatedly put herself in the line of fire to provide cover for her platoon, right? Wrong. Melissa doesn't know how to be a civilian, but apparently she can't be a soldier, either. A recent psych evaluation left her commanding officers no choice but to offer her an out after she froze under fire and nearly got her entire team killed. Her choice? Go home, or risk disgracing herself and the uniform. But that only left her alone with the demons in her head. Facing life outside the military is hard enough, but what will happen when a remnant of the best and worst moment of her life turns out to be more than meets the eye? Will she trust the angry yellow autobot assigned to protect her from Earth's most dangerous enemy, or will she put a bullet through his optic with all the deadly efficiency that earned her a name in Iraq? Trigger warnings: PTSD, depression, mentions of trauma, canon typical violence, adult language
