A long time ago humans and dragons coexisted in peace. The dragons were always such alluring creatures to the human kind. They came rare but so menacing, they inspired terror and fear amongst the citizens. Each swoop, able to obliterate a whole town, and a miniscule scratch from its scales lethal to the system within only seconds. No man dared to stand in their way, without any source of communication and unable to interpret their roars, they don't stand a chance. However, there were one unique species who were able to understand those monsters. They were bonded to the creatures and it fascinated everyone. Nobody could explain it; people say they were half dragon and half human, others say there was a rare gene mutation and the rest believed the they were simply chosen by the dragons. The people called them the Dragon's Child. One of them only came by once in a lifetime and they bare great power, but great powers also comes with extreme sacrifices. Abusing their gifts causes a tremendous toll on the body and brain, enough can cause mental instabilities, paralysis of the body and comas. Fayar, a once prospering country, infamous for its dragon hunting had half its citizens panicking and begging for mercy in just one night. Half of its cities and villages, left in ruins by none than the actions of a mere dragon and it's vengeful human counterpart. Their king hung at the jaws of their prideful Monarch skeleton statue, drained of its blood and served as a warning to those who would oppose and take advantage of the dragon's ever again. As a result, ever since then the royal and high class part of society has been in a shadow war with the dragons. They're willing to go as far as it takes to learn as much as they possibly can about the fearsome monsters. Years later a rebel army was formed against the government of Fayar. They call themselves the Raperes; the animals on top of the food chain, the ones who hunt the hunters and the ones who will overthrow and run Fayar.
