The Discovery is experiencing some issues with the spore drive. When Doctor Culber suggests that Lieutenant Stamets should get some rest, Captain Lorca decides to set a course to the nearest peaceful planet in order to allow his crew to enjoy a short vacation. But when the natives turn out to be Klingons supporters, the holiday becomes a nightmare for the crew stranded on the planet.
(This story is set before the events of the mid-season finale)

Plot: An international crew of scientists board a large state-of -the art oceanographic vessel privately funded by an anonymous source. The itinerary is to travel down the west coast of the Americas and travel the South Pacific to Antarctica. The team plans to visit many known sites of hydrothermal vents using a device called the MAPR, searching vents for a bacterium that seems promising in use as a way to fight carbon dioxide emissions. But one of the two junior scientists on the team soon realizes that secrets are being kept, and makes promises to keep some, while learning that some onboard have entirely different agendas. Tiny Hands, Sad Eyes
Jim Kirk gets shot by an automated weapon while on an away misson. Instead of injuring or killing him, it deages him. Now Spock and McCoy have to try and fix it, all while caring for 4 year old Jim. This is made harder by the fact that he is terrified of everyone but Spock. The more they watch and listen, the more Spock and McCoy want to find Winona Kirk and make her just as afraid as she has made her son. There is a brief nudity scene in the last chapter. All characters involved in said scene are adults. There are some sexual terms used. However, I do not believe it is enough to change the rating to mature.Lengkap
