Gabriel has power over "aether". A 5th element that gives him power over spirit demons and spiritual beasts. When an air conjuror comes to his small village tracking an ogre demon spirit, he unexpectedly ends up as a key component in their brawl. To the great displeasure of his controlling parents, he is whisked away to learn how to control his aether. Being part of an academy is a different experience for Gabriel, who must now learn how to interact with youths his age.
Learning how to control aether also involves learning so much more.
Is Gabriel choosing to make the wrong kind of connections at his new school academy? Does he even have a choice?
