Willow Stone has grown up at the bottom of the Chambers pack since her father was the omega and could pass no legitimate status to his daughter to carry on. When she could, she ran away from the pack on the night of her father's death, never to return.

Now ten years have passed, and she has made a life for herself in maintaining a coffee shop in Lemon Hill, MI! This solo she-wolf has a few exceptional odd friends to keep her sane when paperwork drives her crazy. Soon, a curve ball comes strolling through the door to ruin her life: Reese Stark, Alpha to be of her old pack who's come to fetch her home! The only way for Reese to take his father's place is for all the original lineages to swear allegiance to him, and Willow is the last of her bloodline.

Allowed to come on her terms, Willow returns to a pack on the threshold of war with a rival pack ready to pounce and burn away all the work Jasper has done to make his pack and home better. Willow finds herself in a feud, and this she-wolf is not going down without a fight.

With all this going on, Reese tries to fight the pull he feels to Willow as she does everything in own power to also keep away from the caring Alpha. The two have to set aside their differences to fight and protect the pack, even if is the last thing Willow Stone ever thought she would do.
