"Do you remember what he was like before?" the blonde asked the demon, his gaze hard as he stared out into the horizon of the setting sun.

"How can I not?" he replied. "I had lost so much just to have him. If I didn't remember why I gave everything up--my title, my people--then I'd loathe his very existence at this point."

The demon held his breathe at this, but in the next minute he chuckled.
