My name is Walter, and I'm dead.
I know what you're thinking, what a ridiculous way to start a story, right? But I wasn't always dead, because for one to be dead he must first be alive.
My story is not very unique. I never was wealthy, I was never, by the world's definition, a hero, I never ruled over kingdoms and lands. But I did have something that I believe is more valuable than any of those things, and makes my story worth the telling: 
Love.
What is love, you might ask? 
Love is chilly nights and warm fires. Love is brown eyes and dark curls. Love is... no, I'm getting ahead of myself. I must start at the beginning, when love seemed farther away than the stars on a cloudy day...
