When Athena wakes up in an elevator with Thomas, they find themselves trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, she has no memory of the outside world other then strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.D. Only by piecing together fragments of her past with clues she discovers in the maze can Athena hope to uncover her true purpose and a way to escape.
