In the Greatlands The Lodrian Scholars descend upon the trail of the blue flame- determined to seek the fabled Pillar of Power. Entranced by the prospect of limitless strength, they shall stop at nothing to seek its adage and glory. But as the years have proven, the price of glory is paid many times over by martyrdom. In the Southron Seas- Among the numerous islets of the Greatlands, there lies one - bounded by seafroth- which has been home to men as different as they were conflicted. But the ways of old demand it, for he who shall expect a hearth from Koinoros must allow one to another- no matter the latter's faith, race or creed- such is the law of the common country. So great is Koinoros' repute for peace, and magnificent its hospitality, that the Scholars are bound by their masters to visit its starry sanctums, lest their adage go untainted by the wisdom of the ancient echos. In Koinoros Headed by the enigmatic Nira Afdur, who was once a scholar herself, the Order of Glaives strives to divert the Lodrians from the path of the trail, for they know that their venture is hopeless- only six among the numerous thousands have ever tamed the flame. As the saying goes, 'The Pillar is as deadly as it is divine' But the Order will not find its task easy, since forgoing the mark of the trail is a matter of great shame; even punishable by death. Follow the adventures of Nira, Albir, Garamont and Visiros- as they stalk the grimy streets of Koinoros, willing to risk themselves in order to save countless others. Cover credits: J.C. Eternal: (adj.) Lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning Athanasia never complained about her situation. She never felt like she had the right to. A random event leads her to befriend a small boy. A boy that she believed she would never see again. His situation was heartbreaking, she knew that there are others that are more unfortunate just like him. However, this one encounter changes everything she expected of herself, gave her freedom when the world only wants to swallow her up. --- "Why are you doing this? Why are you befriending me? Though we met five hundred years ago, why do you still bring me into your life? So much can happen in that many years but instead of staying with your friends or finding other things to do, you're with me. Why?" I ask again. Though I don't like being so forward, I can't help it. I'm scared to hurt him. He shifts his gaze to me. His hazel eyes gleam into my blue ones as if he knows something that I don't. "You're right. I had five hundred years, five hundred years to stay with my friends and five hundred years to find other hobbies." He pauses, taking in breath. "But I had five hundred years without you, we only had two weeks together. And those two weeks were the best I've ever had. That's why I want to continue them-with you, Athy." --- Disclaimer: All ACOTAR characters and plot belong to Sarah J. Maas. My characters and scenes are my own work.
