Deegan and 9 others from his college were chosen to take a week-long vacation to the tropical Caribbean island of La Huerta. Much of the island is owned by Rourke International, a giant research and technology company owned by Everett Rourke, a genius and entrepreneur. After a freak storm hits their plane, they arrive on the island to find it devoid of life. The hotel is empty and tourists' bags are strewn across the floor, left in a hurry. Will the college kids find the tourists and the hotel staff, or will they become part of a bigger conspiracy that could rip apart time itself? This is a story from the app Choices: Stories You Play. This story was a mess of emotional ups and downs, and thanks to amazing writers on their team, they ended the series off with a bang. I wanted to write down my path on the story so I can share with the world the amazing journey the character's take. There will be three books in this series. Reminder, this is NOT my story. Thanks to Pixelberry for creating this story!

**CONTENT WARNING:** This story is intended for a mature audience and contains graphic depictions of body horror, psychological trauma, violence, and non-consensual themes. Reader discretion is strongly advised. --- The world did not end with a bang, but with a terrifying, absolute silence. When a colossal machine of alien origin lands on Horsell Common, it doesn't bring war in the way humanity expected. Instead, it releases a silent black smoke that stills every living thing, turning them into statues of flesh, their souls extinguished. Arthur Penhaligon, a writer, finds himself a prisoner within his own paralyzed body, a lone conscious mind in a sea of empty shells. He is harvested and taken to a living, organic factory where humanity is no longer a species, but a resource to be processed. Trapped in a translucent vessel, his only anchor is a silent alliance with another survivor, Edmund. Together, they must navigate the horrific, intimate cycles of the alien facility, where bodies are harvested, minds are erased, and the failures are recycled into food. In a place where survival demands the perfect performance of passivity, what does it mean to remain human?
