This isn't of course, what the Trial committee tells the students. - - - Thirteen-year-old Mira Twells is nervous for the Teen Trust Trials to begin. She knows that all of her friends promised they would go on together, but some of them weren't the best at keeping promises. There were so many of them, all with their own secrets, and plans. They weren't supposed to talk about it, but they had all met up to talk at an old playground, where plans and promises had been made. Yet Mira was always told, "Promises are made to be broken." She normally doesn't believe that. Until she hears the words that change her life forever. These Trials just got a lot more twisted.
