In 1999, Bob Marley, from the outskirts of Manhattan was arrested for hanging his best friend, Viktor Krum (the Victim). Accused of first-degree murder, Marley pleaded not guilty, as Krum had severely insulted his girlfriend, Amanda Jacobson before. Jacobson, who was in a frail, mental state, confirmed Marley's statement, and the judge, Hermione Granger, sentenced him to two years in prison.
Then, in 2001, neighbors reported hearing screams from a home at 1 am, which was known to be inhabited by Jacobson, along with her new boyfriend, Quinton Granger. By the time police, including detectives Cassiopeia Havoc, Esen Archer, along with judge Hermione Granger invaded the home, they discovered a murder that would lead them on a five-year-long hunt for the killer. When the search comes to a close, the detectives find that the case was far from over.
