In a lost world destroyed by war, survivors work together to live. However that isn't the case everywhere. In fact it's rare to see people working together in this world... People grew to hate each other and caused more wars than you could think of. It went back to women being a lower class than men, being used as baby bearers or slaves, or even just for amusement for the male race.
But humans better get a grip and work together for when the demons emerge from the earth, no one is safe...and Timber's way of getting through all this death and despair is to steel your mind, and move on instinct.
