My eyes shot open at the sound of heavy boots somewhere down the hall. I quickly glanced around the lavender room to find where I'd left my private book of shadows. As soon as I found it I jumped up and slowly made my way across the dimly lit room to grab my book. A scream rang through out the house. "Shit" I whispered. I grabbed my emergency backpack that I had packed a few months ago. Thank the gods that I had a premonition of this event and packed this.
