Book 1:
It's been twenty-seven years from now on, an outbreak occurred, causing millions of people dying from the Black Night incident. The world is now called The Ruins in America. People are now on their own since after the fall of the Flyer Frontiers and the Infected still lives among the survivors. Mal has been living in The Ruins at the age of sixteen. She is born, lives, and adapted to her world. That's her daily routine, day and night, surviving. With her companion of friends, her whole world that she knew is going to get bigger, will change when things start to plummet their sanction.

The Ruins is beautiful yet empty, survival is all everyone has, and no one can be trusted enough.

Her family died and her sister went missing, she was believed to be dead so she never cared to look.... Lauren learned early on how to take care of herself no matter the cost, or who's around once she realized she'd always be alone... or so she thought. she lived on the run constantly looking over her shoulder, she came across groups but they never lasted and died and always left her alone. Lauren just went where the day took her with only 2 objectives on her mind; food and water. As her path stretches, things become more complicated and she finds that food, water and shelter are the last things on her mind. This story tells Lauren's journey before she met the infamous rick grimes and what she has to go through before she crosses their path and it all leads up to their big meeting on the rail road tracks, a spy and a cure. Will she ever find her sister? Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs. I do not own The walking dead characters or scenes, only characters I made up outside of the cast. If i accidentally stole ideas from anyone it was not on purpose; I haven't read any twdfanfic. I just opened wattpad and started clacking lol It will not go word for word as the show or comics, it will only have the characters. It's like an alternate universe with my own character. RK's and Saviors are at peace from the events of the KillGames, and now all the communities work together as one, even there are slight tension between the Eleven Towns and Sanctuary. It's all working well, with Mal and her friends requiring movements with heavy hearts. But the Ruins is far more dangerous than anyone can imagine. The Infected seem to be mutating in terrifying ways that could change Mal, the RK's, Saviors, and everyone know about surviving among the walking dead.
