I'm writing while listening to The Rhythm of Love by Scorpions. There's something about getting older and realizing things. Everyone is telling my how short life is, and boy do I know it already. I'm only 20 years old, and that sounds so fucking weird to say. I always wanted to be 18 years old. Now I'm 20, and caring for my grandmother this last year really put life in perspective for me. I'm discovering what it feels like to be truly be free, and to be a woman. What it means to find your place in life, and to be yourself.

I've dreamed of the perfect marriage ever since I was a little girl: a marriage complete with a hardworking husband while I tended to the home and our children, preferably four little rugrats to call my own. I like inflicting pain. Not on others but on myself. Some people would call me depressed but I'm not. If anything the pain makes me happy. I started "self harming" at the mere age of nine. Evolution
There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here.
