But this world I am in is not the plant that my fellow monster's have come to invade but is already falling apart I see so much but I am alone with nothing but an bottomless pit stomach and a lonely self heart. The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies, Run! or its characters, nor do I own Dystopia Rising LARP. This is just my Rookie's reaction to the Dystopia Rising New Adventure in the Zombies, Run! App.

~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. The apocalypse was caused by an alien raise coming to earth and proclaiming they'll fix the planet. Their way to 'fix' it being destroying humanity with a plague. However they didn't expect the human body to be as persistent as it is, the infection they spread mutating and making humans reanimate with a hunger for flesh. They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. Curiosity at its peek with both of them and so she gains a tail always creeping behind her. The aliens just won't let her go. Story is written on my free time so it has a lot of typos, sorry. It's been marked #1 in "alien race" wow It's been marked #1 in "infection" I did not expect taht considering it's been finished a while now but hey interesting to have for however long it lasts. "Please don't eat me!" I backed up against the wall. He got closer to me. I was so scared. "Please!" I had tears running down my cheeks. He took my arms and pinned me up against the wall. His tongue was like a snakes tongue. He licked my neck. I was crying. He hissed in my ear before he talked. "I'll make a deal with you little human. I will let you live. IF. You belong only to me. I will come visit you every night and leave before the sun rises." I stared at him. Belong only to him? I wouldn't have a boyfriend. Would he make me do things I didn't want to do? Would he get mad one day and eat me? But I couldn't think about that right now. It was either this or die. I sighed so I could speak clearly. "Yes." One night, a creature snuck into Sammy's bedroom. Instead of choosing to eat her, he offers her a once in a lifetime opportunity. Sammy's life has been going downhill since her father's passing. So her agreeing to belong to this creature was just the tip of the iceberg. Soon she becomes involved in a world she never knew existed. The world is screwed up place. Everyone in it just wants peace when it isn't promised to nobody. We work for ourselves to try to improve our ways of life only for someone who has more to take it. Everything is about monetary gain and if you don't got the green you better have a way to survive. Help wont come when you need it. There is no home and having shame is a simple thing of the past. We all tell people to have hope. We tell them that if they work hard enough that change will eventually come and with that change they will find their happy ending. I've watched humans kill for that happy ending. I've committed murder when a tyrant thought to torture the only good thing in this world I have ever found in this fucked up place. Even when I tried to save it, I still lost it. Yeah, you heard right. I am no saint. This world is far from cupcake and t ,rainbows and their isn't not one soul that could tell me different. I have had to fight to survive since the day I lii I broke out of an egg into this world. No one has ever known where I came from and from the moment I got here I've never know any kindness. I have always been the odd one out because I was different. I'm not talking different just because the color of my skin. I'm talking different because when I get well and truly pissed I turn into a vicious monster. I'm not talking a kiddie monster like the one that creeps under your bed while you are sleeping or chooses to hide in your closet. I'm the type that you cant get away from. I travel through space and time. If I want you, I will have you. I have the powers of invisibility on my side, and you will never see me coming. There is no one that can catch me because I can poof away at the drop of a hat. If that doesn't scare you than the thousands of scars on my body and my size definitely will. Switching between appearances to stay hidden along with eating people that no one would miss, especially criminals. You'd sometimes eat some grimm too. What happened to you is that you were born as a bizarre pile of biomass created by nature's natural selection. When some humans made contact with you years later, you immediately infected and possessed one of them and began to evolve rapidly. It was then you developed a personality and can think like an intelligent species. All before being captured, experimented on, and then escaping not long after. Luckily for the world, you aren't super bloodthirsty or a complete psychopath. Your personality is that of someone humble and wanting peace. Just like how mother nature is and must be respected as so. Speaking of the world, you figure out that the world you reside in now is called Remnant. Compared to the laboratory below, the outside world is much worse with the Grimm and humans fighting each other. But it is also the world where you will actually find your place in these harsh lands of savage beasts and advanced weaponry. Along with those whom you will reside alongside with. And if anyone wishes to take them from you, they will know the color of death from within. You are the monster. You are the parasite. You are... Carrion This is your story.
