The Hunger Games: Uprising! by davd71

This is Book 1 of my Hunger Games series, all rights go to Suzanne Collins. The story is set two years after the war. Katniss and Peeta are just starting a new life together but there is unrest in the districts driven by the hardship of living in post war Panem. A new faction in the Capitol led by a relic from the war is trying to take control back from the rebels using the unrest to try to spark an Uprising. And should she tell him about her dark yet strange past? Peeta easily falls for Katniss he wants to know more about her, her family,her life and he knows she has some secrets. He knows he loves her but he's scared she doesn't feel the same way. (This book has some parts where there is self harm if this is a strong topic for you I suggest you don't read or skip the parts)

In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, rutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. 16-year-old Aspen, Katniss' best friend, is selected as District 3's representative. Aspen, Katniss and her male counterpart, Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives, some of whom have trained for this their whole lives.
