Eight years after the Fifth Grail Wars, sociopath Shadow Graymane is selected to compete in the Sixth but Shadow has no strong connection to Magi, she has lived alone since her mother and father disappeared. Without much of a connection Shadow still knows a lot about the Magi world through books that rest in her wondrous Library in the Graymane Estate, a traditional Japanese manor, and knows a great deal about the Holy Grail Wars and what conspired in them in detail, every battle, every death and every winner.

Will Shadow survive the Grail War? Will she be able to save the one person she cares about?

And what Servant shall she be Master too?
